The Peacock Center for Human Development Association (PCHD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Somali communities around the world. We tackle critical challenges by providing comprehensive programs that foster self-sufficiency and create lasting positive change.

Education & Skills Development

We lay the foundation for a brighter future by providing early childhood education, vocational training, and digital literacy programs. Whether in Somalia or Canada, these initiatives equip participants with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the modern world.

Healthcare & Sanitation

Improving public health is a priority in both regions. We implement WASH programs that provide access to clean water and sanitation facilities alongside hygiene education. Additionally, PCHD works to combat infectious diseases and bridge healthcare gaps by providing essential services in underserved communities.

Economic Empowerment

Financial security is a cornerstone of self-sufficiency. PCHD offers microfinance programs and financial literacy training in both Somalia and Canada. We also support small businesses and promote sustainable agriculture, fostering economic growth and entrepreneurship.

Environmental Protection

The environment is a shared concern. PCHD tackles climate challenges by promoting renewable energy access and sustainable land management practices in both Somalia and Canada. Additionally, we help communities adapt to the changing environment through initiatives like drought mitigation and water conservation in Somalia.

Humanitarian Aid & Integration Support

Recognizing the unique needs of each region, PCHD provides emergency relief (food, water, shelter, medical care) during crises in Somalia. In Canada, we offer settlement and integration services to help refugees navigate their new home and build a secure future.

Anti-Racism & Inclusion Advocacy

In Canada, PCHD fights for a more inclusive society and combats racism against the Somali community.

We assist refugees with finding housing, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities so that they can seamlessly integrate into Canadian society.

We provide resources and referrals for addiction recovery, skills training, and employment opportunities to empower Somali youth.
